I started caddying at crystal downs in 1945 at the age of12, caddied for three years till I could get a job inFrankfort. In looking at the course nothing has changed. Used to go swimming in lake Michigan before everyone started to show up. there were only about 5 of us caddying back then. What a wonderful time it was. For 9 holes we charged $1.00, for 18 it was $2.00 If we carried double the prices we talked about according to the size of the bags. The pro back then taught us to play, front nine one week back nine the next week, we had to turn the sprinkler on as we left the tee boxes and the greens .Would love to play the golf course one more time before I get to old to play, knowing its a private country club and the green fees would be more than I could afford, but one can dream
